Maintain finishing system controls and assist lead personnel in maintaining the controlled documentation and line operation.Duties:Assist the Production Lead in daily operations pertaining to powder lineApply powder to production parts in a manner consistent with customer expectationsAccurately record daily powder usageMaintain a clean and safe coating booth and associated work areasAssist in masking, hanging, and removal of production line partsAssist in packaging and transfer of finished goods to the shipping departmentAssist when necessary, correctly energizing wash line, powder booth, and associated ovensAct as a secondary source for abrasive blasting operationsAct as a secondary source for wash line chemical monitoring to maintain proper chemical metricsMaintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentationParticipate actively and positively in Ownership Thinking and Lean activitiesAssist in manufacturing when necessaryAll other duties assignedSkills:Minimum two year paint line and operation experienceOne year powder finishing application with knowledge inElectrostatic charging CoronaApplication and recovery equipment function and controlPowder coating material chemistries and cure schedulesMetals materials and pretreatment processPossess basic computer knowledgeGood math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsDetail orientedAbility to use precision measuring equipmentGood verbal and written communications and interpersonal skillsAbility to follow direction both written and verbalKnowledge of proper care and maintenance of application and recovery equipmentManual dexterityWilling to work hours needed to complete jobsUse key quality measuring instruments to confirm paint thickness, gloss and adhesionThorough knowledge of the various types of paint equipmentAble to work in shop environment: high noise level; exposure to dust, heat and coldAble to complete work with 75% standing. Some bending, squatting, twisting and kneelingAble to lift 50 to 75 pounds regularlyNormal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and normal hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids)Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug testDay Shift or Swing ShiftDay Shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm and Friday 6am-12pmSwing Shift Monday-Thursday 11:30am-10pm**Must be available for occasional overtime hours**We are not currently accepting application on site due to the COVID virus.
