Machine Operator

This position is focused on developing the overall knowledge of the systems, practices, and techniques surrounding the manufacturing processes, and safety protocols associated with Drywall Finishing Joint Compound products manufactured on site, to include managing scrap and maintaining high productivity levels. Also, responsible for ensuring the quality and packaging of Finishing products in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain a positive team environment and a focus on safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement and operate a World Class Manufacturing plant that is professional in appearance.

Responsibilities

• As an operator, check product to ensure it meets specification, alert Team Lead, Production Coordinator or Operations Manager of any problems or defects immediately and package each product correctly.

• Keep lines and production floor clean and free of debris and stocked for incoming shift.

• Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. work orders), read and understand specifications for all products.

• Keep management, operators, and other teammates informed of all problems or relative production concerns.

• Operate, clean and maintain mixing and packaging equipment, keep track of tools and equipment and ensure all needed supplies are available.

• Operate production equipment to meet productivity and quality standards for Ready Mix and Dry Mix products.

• Follows procedures, checklists, and safety protocols.

• Performs daily quality testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished goods as directed by supervision following established testing procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
