Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer in our Elko, Nevada office.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Provide technical deliverables on projects and company resources for mechanical system design and development
Develop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles and presentations to the clients
Provide technical support to external and internal customers
Ensue relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all engineering design
Support proposal efforts through technical concept development and budgeting activities
Interpret client requirements and identify and address design parameters
Complete or review calculations such as:
Equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, material selection and specifications
Perform engineering to specify and size mechanical equipment such as mill equipment, crushers, conveyors, pumps, blowers, compressors, pipe and other associated process equipment
Prepare engineering drawings packages including PFDs, PIDs, general arrangements, mechanical & piping details, piping plans, sections and details, pipeline alignment sheets for process engineering design
Prepare of technical documents including specifications, data-sheets, technical bid analysis, etc.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years’ experience in an operational, design or consulting engineering firm working on mining projects
Professional Engineer’s licensure in Nevada or other states where Golder operates
